Sponsorships
The Directors and staff of Abbey Funeral Services Ltd have always endeavoured to serve and support the local Community.
We have sponsored and supported Hurricane Netball Club for some years. The club is open to players from 7 years of age. Jo and Chris Parker take an active part in helping to run the club.
We have been delighted from time to time to sponsor Rusthall Football Club and individual players.
For the last two years we have sponsored the Angel Indoor Bowls Club an all ages club in the heart of the town.
Since it began we have been happy to sponsor the FAB Club which meets at Tonbridge Methodist church and is open to young people from the age of 8years.
This year we were also able to support the St Margaret Clitherow School’s Gardening Club and we wish the children well with their horticultural efforts.
Commentary Groups
Chris Parker, co-founder and Director of the company, regularly visits community groups as a speaker. These groups have included WI, Church, NCB and Mother’s Union Groups and topics include, funeral planning and arranging, the work of a funeral Director and supporting children through a bereavement. Please let us know if we can help your group in this way.
Community News
We are happy to allow community and church groups to use our window to advertise local events for a short period of time.During early November it is used by the Royal British Legion to advertise the Haig Poppy Appeal and by the Hospice in the Weald in December for their Light up a life Appeal. We regularly allow the Bowls club to advertise their open days.
The directors do, however, reserve the right to refuse to display anything which they consider to be inappropriate in any way.
